TALKING DRUMS Courage (1982 UK 12″ vinyl single. Originallyrincluded on their first album, recorded on cassette, Courage was theirrfirst vinyl outing as a single and released on Sticky Music in late 1982.rThe group added a horn section and congas extending the song to 8rsprawling minutes of dubby disco funk in the vein of ESG and WilliamrOnyeabor. The studio owner, Ian, had just bought a new piece ofrequipment called an Aphex Aural Exciter and put the whole mixrthrough it – maybe one reason why “Courage” sounds strangely aheadrof its time. The Sleeve has some ring wear a long with a small tear torthe opening and the vinyl has some scuffs but is otherwise in excellentrcondition. A great, hard to find copy. GUM005 )
