MILES DAVIS Live In Vienna 1969 (2024 UK limited edition5-track LP recorded live on October 31st 1969 at Stadhalle,Vienna. The ‘never-recorded Lost Quintet’ that toured Europein October/November 1969 had spent the preceding Augustrehearsing and recording a new double LP set Bitches Brew,within a kind of rock big-band lineup. Wayne Shorter was onsaxophones, Chick Corea on Fender Rhodes, Dave Holland onbass and Jack DeJohnette on drums. This Quintet did actuallyrecord for Columbia in November 1968 but the session wasnot issued until 1981 on the Directions album.
