Bookended by the airy, flute-laced u2018Body Languageu2019, produced by Thundercat, and the immaculately orchestrated soul of u2018Killeru2019, recorded with The Dap-Kings in New York, it turns through R&B, on the stuttering beats and skanking guitar of u2018Miamiu2019, punctuated by a spot from BIA, by way of popping funk on u2018Just A Strangeru2019, made with her previous collaborator, Steve Lacy. Thereu2019s the metronomic electro-pop tick of u2018In My Dreamsu2019, recorded with Damon Albarn, reciprocating the two appearances Uchis made on their recent record and Tame Impalau2019s Kevin Parker lines u2018Tomorrowu2019 with a disco strut and melancholic synths.
