Overview:

Ahead of Beethoven’s 250 year anniversary in 2020, renowned classical pianist Igor Levit releases Beethoven’s complete piano sonatas. Levit’s debut album ‘The Late Beethoven Sonatas’ received critical acclaim. BBC Music Magazine described Levit’s performance as “unbeatable”. Igor Levit has won many prestigious awards including the Gramophone Recording of the Year in 2016 and the Gilmore Artist Award in 2018. Levit’s previous release ‘Life’ reached the top of the Classical Albums chart last year. The breathtaking Hammerklavier Sonata will also be released on vinyl. The vinyl will include 3 sides of music. The 4th side will be etched with the original manuscript sketch for the sonata.
